Why Dónall na Gealaí?
Dónall na Gealaí means, in Irish, Dónall of the moon. Put simply, he is the man in the moon.
Our son, Lorcan was both conceived and born at the new moon. During her pregnancy, Anne noticed that he was particularly active around the times of the new and full moon. We wanted to give him a name which reflected his lunar connections and it was during the course of our research into a suitable name that we discovered Dónall na Gealaí. Lorcan, for his part, earned himself Dónall as one of his middle names.

With this in mind we designed our logo to incorporate the moon, a little boy and the constellation of Libra which is Lorcan’s star sign.
